Biography
Tyler ter Meulen von Hohenstaufen was born on July 30, 1996 in Zaandam, the Netherlands, as a dual citizen of the Netherlands and the United States of America.
Tyler is the undefeated Dutch artistic rollerskating national champion, with 27 national titles and is the winner of many international tournaments and championships, which includes gold at the Championships of Europe.
In 2016, Tyler switched to Figure Skater (on ice). His goal; to compete at the elite level championships, and win gold at the World Championships and Olympic Games.
Tyler competes in the mens single's discipline.

Representing diabetic athletes
In 2012 Tyler was diagnosed with Diabetes type 1. Determined to continue his legendary athletic career, the team had to get back to the drawing table, to reconsider the entire training plan, due to the uncertain component Diabetes brings into the equation of elite sports.
Tyler is a global ambassador for diabetic athletes, and spends much time helping the cause of finding a cure for type 1 diabetes.
